STACY WHALE
nipaluna/Hobart

SURF ROCK, INDIE ROCK

WHO ARE STACY WHALE?

Born both individually and collectively in Tasmania’s south, Stacy Whale present an atmospheric and evocative take on the guitar music that they love.

Inspired by jangle pop, surf rock and indie, their music balances intricate three-part harmonies and emotive lyricism with a restless, driving energy.

Drawing no distinction between the wilderness of their home state and the wildness within, Stacy Whale’s music is frenetic and rugged, occasionally beautiful, mostly fun, and always honest.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO?

Over the past year, the whales released ‘Happy Days’, their fourth single, and played some of the biggest shows of their lives.

Early 2022 Stacy Whale were privileged to perform at the Great Escape music festival under the shadows of Mount Field, and the next weekend opened for The VANNS as they stopped by on their national tour. Rounding out the recent past, the whales have played alongside local legends Chase City, Lennon Wells, The Tinderboxers and bocce.

A whale of a time, and the best is yet to come.
